- Candidates must have Passed the M.Sc. Physics and qualified for Ph.D. Entrance Examination in Physics conducted by Bharathidasan University, as per University regulations or the equivalent from a recognized Board or University.
- M. Phil. candidates in Physics are exempted from Ph.D. qualification test.
