ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR NTA NHB Recruitment 2024
Interested Candidates must have fulfilled the following Academic and Age Limit criteria to apply for the Designations of NTA National Horticulture Board. The Job Openings and their respective educational qualifications and age limit criteria are as follows.
I. Deputy Director:
- Educational Qualifications: Candidates must have completed a Graduate in Horticulture/ Agriculture/ Post-harvest Technology/ Agriculture Economics/ Agriculture Engineering/Post-harvest Management/Food Technology/Food Science or the equivalent from a recognized board or university.
- Experience: 5 years of work experience in the related field in an organization of repute.
- Age Limit: The maximum age for applying candidates must not exceed 40 years.
II. Senior Horticulture Officer:
- Educational Qualifications: Candidates must have completed a Graduate in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Food Technology/Post-harvest Technology/ Agriculture Economics/ Agriculture Engineering /Food Sciences or the equivalent from a recognized board or university.
- Preferential Qualifications: Master’s Degree in the same field.
- Age Limit: The maximum age for applying candidates must not exceed 30 years.

SALARY DETAIL
As per the NTA National Horticulture Board official notification’s pay scale norms, Salary details for all Posts are as follows,
- Deputy Director – Pay Scale Level-10 in Pay Matrix (Rs. 56,100/- to Rs. 1,77,500/-)
- Senior Horticulture Officer – Pay Scale Level- 06 in Pay Matrix (Rs. 35,400/- to Rs. 1,12,400/-)
SELECTION PROCESS
As specified in the National Horticulture Board’s official job notification, the Recruitment board will select the applied candidates by the following selection process,
- Computer Based Examination will be conducted as the preliminary level of sorting.
- The employment board will call back the candidates who get through the Computer Based Examination to attend the Interview.
